Find a Friend (it’s not an app)

My friend and I looked this question up on Google, probably eight years ago. We found list of 50 ideas. We said “no” to probably the 5 or 10 until we got to “take something apart and try to put it together.” We went to the garage put some music on, grabbed a box of Nilla Wafers (those are the best, what happened to them?), we found an old computer mouse. We proceeded to obliterate it.

We couldn’t put it back together, but we had a great time!

Lesson #1:

Do something to create memories.

Pick up a Broom

I can’t count the times I would say “I’m so bored…*Massive sigh*,” my mom would proceed to say, “pick up a broom and sweep the kitchen.”

I hated that response so much, but it’s a good point.

Lesson #2:

Clean something, by clean I mean organize… and clean.

By the way, if you’re looking this question up, you’re not really bored.

True Boredom

I don’t think I’ve ever experienced true boredom. But…

My idea of boredom is:

Boredom: Doing the same thing over and over, not knowing why.

I would say four out of five people are in this boat. Day in, day out, doing something they don’t love.

The True Lesson:

Figure out what you want your life to look like in one year.

Do what you can today, to be there as soon as possible.

Start living the real life now; stop making excuses.
